Whether you are an individual or representing a family, joining a church may seem a difficult thing to do. However, at Offington Park Methodist
Church we suggest you could take one of three approaches: Firstly, you could join us on Sundays in worship. When you come, do mention to a steward (they will be wearing name tags) that you are
visiting us for the first time. The service at 10.30am on Sunday mornings is for the whole family whereas an earlier service in the morning at 8:00 or in the evening at 6:30pm will be more reflective and may suit you better.
Secondly, you could join one of our many activities and get to know us so that you will feel more at home when you start coming to church.
Thirdly, you could use the email to tell us of your intentions, so again you will not feel awkward when you join us on Sundays.
After a short while you will have an opportunity to join an Alpha group where you can study more
personally what Christianity means for you. I hope you find us a friendly church where members support each other in all aspects of life.
Joining the church will become a life long commitment so no one will pressure you to make any firm decisions early on. It is up to you to respond when you feel ready.
