What are the different types of service?

What is Worship - An opportunity to be in God's presence, to share with others and to be supported in our life's journey. Ultimately we believe that worship is to do with God - giving Him worth for the God that He is.

Worship for all - a service designed to have something for everyone in it and celebrate the reality that regardless of age we are all members of God's family.

Healing service - these acts of worship highlight what is implicit in every act of worship, namely, that we worship a God who yearns for us to be whole and free in every area of our lives.

Different kind of service - For some people the traditional 'hymn sandwich' doesn't always deepen their relationship with God. Our 'different services' seek to give expression to our beleif that one size does not feed all of the people all of the time. These services are likely to be more informal and conversational in style. Up to now these have happened in the 6:30pm slot but from January 18th there will be an opportunity to experience this kind of worship in our new 9:30am slot.

Messy Church - For people who can't make church on Sunday, Messy Church happens on the first Tuesday of each month. It is lively and includes food, games, craft and a message from the Bible. People come to this act of worship because of its informality and the opportunity to build friendships. All-ages are welcome to attend.

Holy communion - In this act of worship we remember Jesus and all that He achieved for us through His death and resurrection. The meal we share is a very visual reminder of the depth of God's love for us.

Taize - A quiet, meditative service in which we draw near to God through chant, silence and imagination.
